Ok so bought the car with a half blown sr in it. Found a KA and a Silvia front I traded for the SR.
Swapped the KA in and I'm getting fuel, it turns over, but no spark or power to the coil. Went back and fixed a lot of messed up wiring. I've tried everything to resolve the problem. Checked all fuses an relays. Swapped ignitors. Swapped distributors. Checked grounds. Fixed wiring and soldered and heat shrink ef anything cut or spliced back to factory. Used the harness in my roommates running kat coupe as reference.
I should say that I am getting power to the coil hot wire on my DMM if I ground somewhere else other than the coil negative wire. So really no ground to the coil. Anyone have a clue where to check next?
