Hello everyone. I don't contribute much to the forum, however I'd like to. But I haven't had a running 240sx. I bought a 91 hatch and pulled the blown motor out, but currently it's been sitting for months waiting for an SR20DET swap. HOWEVER, I recently purchased another 91 hatch, however it's the SE. So I got power windows, locks, and VLSD. However, it's an automatic so I am gonna do a 5 speed swap.

ANYWHO, the engine is a nice KA. Strong, all original. However it started misfiring. HORRIBLY. I was getting low gas mileage, and when I went under half a tank it was bogged down so bad I would have to HAMMER the throttle for literally 60 seconds to get 55mph. Nope nope nope!

So I replaced fuel filter. Did nothing..
I replaced spark plugs, and wires... Guess what? Nothing...
So I figured it was either the fuel pump or the injectors. Really was hoping it was the pump. But I checked the injectors.

I got a pulse out of all of them but the engine was idling at 400 rpms and shaking horribly, so it was hard to tell. Then I tested the injectors by pulling out one sensor at a time and putting it back in. If the injector was running properly, the engine would bog down and want to die if I unplugged it.
Which it did, on all but one fuel injector. When I unplugged the #3 injector, nothing happened. So I knew that was the bad one. Today, I went to o'reilleys picked one up for 85 bucks, and then went home and put it in. The engines runs, great. Lots of torque, runs clean, and no misfire.

Sorry this post is messy! Hope this helps someone. Thanks for checking out the post! Happy driving.
