Last drift event, my car decided to stop boosting during one of my runs. I have installed an AEM V2 with a map sensor so difficult trying to find the culprit.

what are some of the things to look for, I have no visual boost leaks. the WG snaps back when pulled back by force. The turbo is an ISIS 3871 new last year. It is not smoking at all.

no visual as, you check on your gauges?

No visual leaks from the couplers or anything that could cause a possible leak.

I check my boost gauge it reads 20 vacuum, than rev it up and its 0 boost. MY BOV doesn't go off at all.

Pull the exhaust and intake pipes off and look at your wheels. You can further inspect the turbo by removing the compressor and exhaust housings. Time to get dirty.

Better yet, remove the intake pipe and start your car, watch what the compressor wheel does. Does it move? If not what's keeping it from spinning? Sometimes it's better to start with the basics.

btw when you rev it and and have no boost, your just sitting in your car and not moving?

i had that before, but once i drove it was fine. weird.

anyway... if i was you, i'd do what jr ss says and get down in their and check.

The reason you don't have any boost at idle or free revving the car is because there is zero load on the motor. You need a load to create boost. You'll see the needle move to 0 on your boost gauge, but not create any positive pressure.

I took it for a spin down the street, feels like a KA. 0 boost either with a load and my BOV wasnt going off. I am going to check out the turbo tomorrow.

I pulled the BOV off but not apart yet its a HKS SSQV. im really hoping the bov is stuck but wouldn't the turbo still create boost?

Check to see if the compressor wheel is spinning. First things first.

it'd make boost but it would just be sent out the open bov immediately essentially causing a boost leak.

With a leaking bov it would still produce positive boost pressure at wot. Just not as much as normal. If you are producing zero boost at wot then the turbine/compressor wheel isn't turning freely.
