To vvti or non vvti that is the 1jz.

As title implies, I don't know at this point...im ordering the engine: 1jzgte vvti monday

i love it...vvti cuts tq peak in half pretty much and has higher compression, and more modern technology...Well atleast what i can read.


This however conflicts with manys views about the non vvti twi turbo model being better for mods and tuning as it seems to handle better qand is easier?


i see the argument about rods but that is na i believe and not gte versions, as all vvti or non have same rods...


at this point, I think going vvti is the best bet for now.


any criticism or opinions are welcome. I don't need flamed for I have done my searching and each and every single thread is either 5 years old and dated or has conflicting views.

If you want power across the board and won't mod much, go vvti. It's really your preference here, sounds like you did the research so make the big boy decision.
