Hey guys, I went to start the car this morning. Started fine. Tried to put it in gear and it wouldnt go in. I checked the master & slave cylinder. Both good. Adjusted the pedal to see if it will do any good, but nope. For some reason the clutch doesnt go all the way down sometimes. I know theres no air in the line. Could one of the springs from the clutch fell off?
Thanks.
-Jack up Car
-Get under car
-Pull off the the shift-fork dust boot off the bell housing of the car
-Shine flash light into the hole
-Have someone push the clutch pedal in the car
-Observe the movement of the clutch fork/slave cylinder
A popped clutch spring can cause this issue, but eliminate the low hanging fruit first

Did you break the clutch fork?

They can brake when racing. If the clutch pedal feels good and moves it's full motion, the pilot bearing could be stuck (frozen). Only way to fix it is to pull the trans.

It's not terribly uncommon for a clutch spring to pop out of place and get wedged in. Basically matches the symptoms you described.

I've had these same symptoms. Turned out my OEM clutch had enough of abuse and decided to spit two springs out of the plate completely.

I went ahead and dropped the tranny. Found out one of the springs fell off and was sandwiched in. Clutch had over 30k miles and had lots of life left. Never buying an EBAY clutch again. Flywheel was fine thankfully. Put a brand new exedy clutch and now everything is good for now.

There's your problem, right there.

I had one of those springs fall out of my spec stage 2 clutch before. I just removed spring and put it back together. Those springs are only there for vibration dampening when releasing the clutch. Never had a problem with them missing.
