Alright so I got a few problems with my rb20 in my s13 and here they are.

I blew a hg on my old rb and so I went and bought another motor set and I set out to rebuild it.

Rebuilt it all Nissan gaskets water pump etc and hg head was resurfaced and cleaned along with the block it has ARP head studs but the car is on stands and so I put in new oil and filter after the rebuild and after the motor ran for about 5 minutes I took the oil cap off and I see milky looking oil in the cap and in the engine. The oil looks like tan milk after its been drained.

Why would the oil look like that after initial startup ? The head was tqed to spec 80ft/lbs

Second the vac guage reads -20 when my safc Is off and it idles fine but once I turn it on it starts idling really weird like going up to 1450 and then goes down to 500 and back up could it be my iacv or just a vac leak but once it goes down in rpm the vac goes to 10 then 5 what would cause it to do this ?

Did you use the ARP lube? or just engine oil? Follow the right sequence when you tighten down the nuts?

How many times did you torque down the bolts to 80 ft lbs? with the factory head bolt you have to tighten each bolt in a sequence up to the final torque setting. ARP says 3 times following what the factory calls for.
