installing a KA into an s13 shell that i used to have my VH45 in.. set the engine in place, and its sitting kind of crooked. when i try to line up the transmission, there is serious tension on the passenger side engine mount and the transmission sticks to the drivers side of the transmission tunnel. Engine mounts are unknown and a little worn, so i ordered new ones just to be safe. im waiting on them right now, but doing some research from other people as well. I noticed the KA engine mount brackets are not equally lined up on the KA. can anyone confirm this? the passenger side engine bracket mounting bolt hole sits approximately 7-1/8" from the front of the engine, and the drivers side mount bracket mounting bolt hole is approximately 8-1/8" from the front of the engine. i thought this might cause it mount sideways, but i've read that the OEM mounts are slightly offset, which will make sense why the brackets are slightly off from the factory.

anyone have any input on this?

going to try re-installing this weekend, didn't know if anyone had any input if this is normal or not.

Thanks,

I actually bought new engine mounts, and everything lined up perfectly. guess the mounts i got with my swap werent ment for a 240sx.
