Put a set of overfenders on my s13, did some measuring for fitment and realized the one fender is sticking out an additional 6mm than the other.
Think running a wheel spacer on the one side will have any adverse affects?

6mm isn't much. Fiberglass? I had to heat my 70mm widebody it was warped in to 48mm now its at 75mm. Don't run spacer on only one side. Changes ur scrub radious ( tracking line of your car) I imagine rack wouldn't like it over time. Or if doing to rear if you run 2way keep both sides same. Well really with any diff In my opinion. Heat ur fender edge and work it back 6mm or slot each mount hole and adjust it back in.

It's a rear overfender and it's already painted. I could drill out the rivets and re rivet it using the same holes? Fiberglass is sort of out since it's already painted.

Nah ur good still. Leave all top.rievts in and just adjust the bottom/sides sucking the fender closer to tire. Don't fiberglass it. Or u can heat it and work it.back in slowly don't heat it to hot or ull wreck paint . As if u were rolling stock painted fenders without wrecking paint. Patience and not to close on heat

Why isn't this even a suggestion? Most dangerously stupid thing to do.
Please don't work on cars anymore. We all may be young and dumb, but you need to learn the basics about cars first before doing something like this.

Please tell me where I can learn these basics outside of working on a car and asking questions.
The wheel spacer idea seemed like the easiest fix, but I didn't think it was the best fix. I asked a forum for advice and get a comment that adds nothing to the conversation.

Maybe it's not as readily available as the U.S. since I didn't realize you're in Canada.
Sources of mechanical knowledge.
-Your parents
-Make friends locally via meets to show you directly.
-Take your car to a friendly shop that show you how to consult & repair your work.
-Go to community college for auto mechanic classes
-Do self study and read books or documents on what works and what doesn't work. Don't bother asking questions on forums, we're not an internet index.

Absolutely no need for that... He asked the question because he doesn't know. that's the point of a forum.. dont like questions asked, gtfo. Quit getting all parenty and help the dude out, for gods sake.
What he meant to say, in a decent human, helpful way, is that is unsafe. do the fiberglass reforming, as mentioned earlier.
