ok so to bring u guys up to par, bought a 93 hatch with redtop sr20det with the head off... put it all back together per FSM (basically timed it and put in cams, torqued head down, etc)

*head was decked and tanked
*brand new gt28rs turbo installed
*new circuit sports oem bore metal head gasket
*new iacv
*new pcv valve in valve cover
*new gaskets
*172 across the board for compression
*mobil 1 5-20
*#62 ecu
*new vacuum lines

Ok so this is what im experiencing:
1st problem
between shifts it puffs smoke, or on decel.
did compression test, and checked turbo housing for oil, none in there. but there is oil in intake mani, very little

2nd problem
boost will not come down below 10-12psi, had an HKS adjustable wastegate actuator on it, put on a factory t25 wastegate actuator known to make 9psi still didnt drop it
i have the actuator vacuum line plumbed from my hotpipe as well. there is NO BOOST CONTROLLER ITS FROM HOTPIPE TO ACTUATOR

the oil doesnt smell burnt or like fuel
im stumped and am super busy this week so if you have any suggestions or similar issues that have had a conclusion please share! thank you!

Problem 1: Normal when you vent to atmosphere with a BOV. Metered air is being let out, but the ECU is giving you fuel based on what passed the MAF. If you feel like your black smoke is excessive check to see if your BOV is leaking or sticking open.

Problem 2: Assuming you're not running an EBC or MBC, check your vac line to the acutator for leaks, tears, cuts. I would say sticky flapper but a brand new disco potato shouldn't have that issue. Also, stock t25 actuators are 7lbs.

Edit to problem 1.

make sure you have a #62 or #E5 ECU. A #63 or E6 will make the between shifts smoke wayyyyy worse because it thinks the car is automatic, and there is no fuel cut at certain RPMS on an automatic when you lift from the gas pedal like there is with a manual ECU.

In either case its not goodfor the engine. Any fuel going in there in excess is removing oil from your cylinder walls and causing excess wear and tear. Recirculate your bypass or get a very easy to close bypass like a true HKS-SSQV. Those tend to shut early, too early, and stay shut. Not as good for turbo longevity but better for your cylinders.

thanks guys but im not sure the description is being read... it smokes blue oil like its making its way in the engine as if the rings were bad. but its between shifts ive had all the diff combinations and have had many of the redtops. im just very stumped.

im not looking for someone to correct me on how many psi a stock t25 actuator is. even if it is 7lbs its still making its way to 11-12psi. the vacuum lines are new. the actuator line is new and i am infact running a #62

Maybe if your description said blue smoke, our answers would have been different. I was just letting you know what the stock actuator is so that if you get down to 9lbs, you'll know it's still not working right.

Good luck with your problems duder.

Right that's my fault I see that but how did it automatically get assumed it was a certain color? I'm just confused on this is all and figured I could turn to the forums. Either way if it the actuator was 1psi or 9psi somehow it's making its way up to 11-12psi and have never experienced boost problems when there was no ebc or mbc in the equation. Also switching out actuators and it still climbs

Problem #1 could be valve guide seals. If it smokes during acceleration THEN its rings
