Ka24de firing in only 3 cylinders

Hey forum

I'm planning on buy a Nissan 240sx s14 with a stock ka24de with 181k miles, 5spd trans 5zigen exhaust, tein springs, and kyb shocks. It currently is only firing on 3 cylinders, the spark plugs were changed and there was oil on one of the spark plugs. I was told that changing the valve cover gasket and spark plug strip seal would fix that. My question is, will that fix it or will I have to do something else.

Where was the oil on the spark plug? The end that is in the motor? If so, don't buy it unless u are going to rebuild the motor. If it's in the spark plug tube (ie. The part that's connected to the spark plug wire) then that's an easy fix by changing the spark plug strip that comes with the valve cover gasket kit.

the seller should take care of the misfire before he sells the car if he refuses

buy a compression tester and make sure the valves are seating properly not causing a misfire and that the compression rings are doing there job. if that checks out
check to see if the spark plugs are gaped properly then the spark plug tubes and wires,cap and rotor on the distributor.

I just found out that it was on the thread of the spark plug and the tip in the motor, what is the cause of this and would it require a full rebuild
