I found a fully built redtop for sale from someone I know, hes wanting 3500 for it and im getting more details about the motor right now but im wondering, if it comes with the harness and everything to drop in and has forged internals and bigger turbo and things like that, would it be worth the 3500 to get?

well just found out it does have forged internals and bigger turbo. but it came out of a show car but the guy put a lot of time and money into the motor. so does it matter if it was in a show car or not? and thnx for helping me iv got a big headache from trying to find something lol

That is even better, since it probably means it was barely ever driven.
Unless the guy also built the motor just for show with flashy parts without knowing what he was doing, so it has a papier mâché camshafts and neon glow-in-the-dark pistons or something.

The guy should know everything that was done to it. Stock internals are forged too...

Who gives a crap if its a built engine, I'd be more worried about who built it. Anybody can try to build engines, it's how well it is put together that matters more than what parts are used.

Is it worth $3500? All up to you since its your money. Add up the parts cost of what was put into it and make an adult decision. See the guys reciepts to prove that he's not puffing up smoke on your face. Get the engine compression tested atleast, maybe even see the oil pressure numbers if the engine's still in the car.

well turns out the guy drove it but the he flipped the car but it didn't do any damage to the motor just by looking at it so im gonna see if he'll let me get more parts from it than just the motor

Build your own motor instead of buying someone elses
You will know whats going into it
The seller can say what evr he wants
