So i was how can increase my throttle response? My friend recently bought a 240 s13 ka24de & i have the same thing. Mines a 93 his is a 89 i believe. His car picks up acceleration quicker than mine. I mainly think its because his car was well kept from his uncle which was first owner who never drifted the car and maintained it well. Both of our cars are almost stock. No engine upgrades. He has an aem intake and some type of exhaust. I have stock k&n intake , mishimoto rad with dual fans. I recently did a tune up and replaced my spark plugs with NGK iridium and NGK wires and replaced the Cap & Rotor. Even after all that when im accelerating the car doesnt pick up as quick as i thought. We were both on the freeway going about 65 & we decided to test it out and raced. And his car kept accelerating quicker. I could floor it and it wouldnt speed up enough to catch up and id already be going 90+

Probably not a good idea to talk about illegal activity on the forum. Either way, what's the mileage difference on the engines? Just out of curiosity..

Yeah i didnt know another way of saying it. But when i bought mine the guy said it was rebuilt and had 60K. The Dash says 267K. His is at 141,700.

As far as throttle response you may check the throttle cable. Could be lose causing you to not reach full wot. Where as the other guys could have been. With his few mods is there any way his car is lighter? If so it could just be faster. Like power windows and stuff can make a difference.

Nah i dont think so his car doesnt have that much upgrades to make it any lighter. And no his is base model just like mine.

Lots of things can make difference between the two. If your car is running good and is reliable, leave it the hell alone.

Its not running as good as when i first bought it. I dont understand how replacing parts for new parts is making the car run slower and abit more poorly then before. Im starting to feel that the person who did the rebuilt either did a horrible job or lied. Cause the car feels like its running on 260K not 70k

I'd check your timing, make sure it's set properly. Aside from that it could come down to a difference in clutches (weight) or tire/wheel combo (weight) that could make it slightly different

stick with stock intake, works just as well. Maybe check the fuel, fuel filter, throttle cable slack. Any proof of it actually being rebuilt?

These were quick ones from google, you'll obviously need a timing let to verify the markings as its' running, but these will give you an idea, and save me a lot of typing :D
