Hey guys Im wondering if you can take the AC unit out but still use the seat system of the climate control. The reason why I want this is because I want to be able to hide my battery up in the dash. I am re wiring my whole car so that there wont be any wire that you can see.. Is it possible to take out the AC and keep the heat?
Thanks!

The ac unit is under the hood, what you're talking about is the blower motor. So no.

Is there any place under the dash to put a small 12 volt battery?

Maybe. Depends if you're willing to sacrifice your glove box, and the size and shape of your battery.

yeah that was my other though or could you take out the air piping for your air vents and fit a small like 10inches by like 4 inches up behind the middle vents?

Lol. I've never done this before but; you could theoretically disconnect the hoses, and stuff the tubing to your passenger vents so you still have warm air blow on you. Because fuck passengers, driftcar.

all i would do is take the hose to the defrost. because i drive mine as a daily so i dont care about heat just defrost and then pull all my other hoses out and i bet i could find a spot then.

Sounds like you have a plan. Let me know how it works out, man.

Why not hide it in the trunk?

For an S14, if your referring to the A/C unit under the dash. More than likely, ayou need to remove the entire dash to remove the 2/3 units including the heater core, A/C and fan resistor.
Once the dash is out, and the main brace bar it is all pretty easy

I don't see a battery ever being stuffed under the dash w/ all of the units in their respective place. I have personally ripped out my dashes on multiple s13's for what ever stupid reason and I just don't see it happening. Not even if you were to modify the glove box.

So if you have to replace your battery, you'd have to pull the dash?
