Hey guys had a quick question that I could not seem to find on any of the forums, I am in the process of building a redtop and have already tore it down now I need to get the head work done. I talked to the machine shop who have already bored over the block for me and they asked me to get them the specs for the head. Not really sure what he was looking for I aske and he replied the lift and valve seat pressure, he also stated that some people reffer to it as the sping installed height. Now I have searched and googled these terms and have had no luck. I did find a post on NICO about valve pressure but it was reffering to the brian cower valves. I am replacing the valve spings and retainers but plan on keeping the factory valves as I hear that they are better than most aftermarket due to the fact that they are carbon filled. I have also heard to have a 3 angle cut on them to make them seat better but once again first sr build and am cluless. I would apprecieat any feed back and thank you for your time.

I'd look at the Factory Service Manual for those numbers...
