Hello, I recently just started having problems with idling. It came down to my iacv having problems. I went and bought another iacv from a sr20 and brought it home. Tonight I took off my intake manifold and took my iacv off of my car and compared the two and this is the difference I seen. The two were different. My car has a auto engine harness on it im pretty sure. It has a automatic tps and throttle body on it. So I don't know if the iacv is different from auto to manual. or maybe the one I bought from the guy is a blacktop sr and I have a redtop. Im not sure if I will be able to put this on my car and work properly. The top clean one is the one I bought. It had a Part number on it is 23781 50f15 then under that is AAC87-28. The one I pulled off my car don't have a sticker on it with a part number. I just don't know if the new one will work properly on my motor because of the different pintle design. One has a spring pushing the pintle closed and the other one might use the motor for that. One has a closed off section. I just don't know and want to make sure before the installation. If you need more pictures let me know. Would appreciate your input.

New one looks fine. Make sure you reuse the metal adjustment screw if you got one. The plastic screw strips super easy

Is it an actual adjustment screw? and mine is plastic I wish I had a metal one. and yeah I just wanted to make sure it being different would still work on my motor.

The screw adjusts to increase or decrease the idle speed. You need to search proper idle method to make sure it's set right

so I think it is a blacktop s13 sr iacv. hopefully it will work on my redtop..

Old thread but in the same situation and looking for some input.

Replacing the IACV on my SR redtop but going from the IACV with the 23781 50F15 part number (my broken one) to the one without a part number, as shown above in the original post.

So same situation as the original poster but opposite swap of IACVs.

Will I run into any problems? Thanks

Yeah man I ended up putting a newer style iacv with the metal screw and it worked just fine! And still works to this day. So yes you will be able to use the new one I had with no part number on it. Glad to help.
