Hey guys. I've found that my trans seals are my problem and need changing. I'm trying to figure out which I'm supposed to pull from this picture and how do I get these out exactly? And I'm assuming the peep hole (above the bottom seal and to the right) is supposed to be wide open? Also I can't figure out definitively where the metal ring in the bottom of the second picture came from. It just fell out of the plate when I pulled it off. Help please?

Leave the seals on the transmission side alone... Here's a picture for you...

For the sake of the thread and the OP Those 'seals' on the transmission are not seals but they are the actual bearings. The rubber stuff is a 'seal' but only to keep the bearing insides clean.
Also remember (o/p) that that outer plate you took off has a paper gasket as well.

Thanks for the info. I've finished the job now and mounted the trans. About to finish bolting up and see if she is all fixed. Fingers crossed! And thanks for clearing up my ignorance about those bearings.
