Alright so I'm a little new to the dual cam world. My other 240 is single cam and as far as 240's that's all I know. Anyways I bought this car as a shell. It's a 91 fastback. Put a new (used) motor in it hooked everything up per the fsm. All emissions everything. Now when I go to start the car when it's cold I have to pump the gas a little and it fires right up, runs a Little rough and then cleans up. When it's warmed up and I shut it off it starts with no issues. The idle also fluctuates between 1000-1200 rpm and drops down to 750 when in gear (auto) Now I have done some searching and most sources say the Iacv need to be replaced/cleaned. I have no cel's timing is set correctly. My question is before I take all that shit apart I just put back together to get to it, is there any other problems/solutions you guys have experienced that you can share. Any help is much appreciated

i have a different engine, but i had the same problem, turned out my cold start cam (beneath the throttle body) was missing. its gotta be something related to the cold start system. cleaning the iacv will sort idle issues, but not cold start i think.
