RB26 ECU work on a rb25?

Will a RB26 ECU work with Rb25 motor and harness? I bought a motor and it arrived to me with no ECU and the guy said he will send me a Rb26 ECU and said it will work fine. I just want to make sure he's not lying. I searched and came up with nothing

just take it resale it and buy the one u need

yeah rb26 ecu is free of charge because the RB25 swap was suppose to come with a ecu.......... the guy is telling me it will work fine, if he is right I would just use the rb26 and save me some stress.

RB26 doesnt have VTC so that aspect of it will never work. I have a stock RB25 ECU if you need one tho, just shoot me a PM.

Rb26 has 2 mafs, 444cc injectors, itb's and no vtc as stated above. You'd have to have it flashed or use nistune? On it.
Just sell it and buy one I see em once and a while for cheap on ebay

Your other option is a reflashed Z32 ECU IIRC...
