Please help:SR20 Intake Stud

I had my head sent away for machine work and the studs on the intake manifold side were not reinstalled. I know the side that protrudes out of the head is M8 x 1.25. Is the side that screws into the head the same pitch? I tried hand threading a M8 x 1.25 but it will not work. Any help is appreciated.

Call the machine shop like "omgwtfwhyyounoinstall!!!!????" :mad:

They're a machine shop...i bet they can measure out and replace the stud THEY lost

Yes m8x1.25 on both sides.

They can be hard to put on. Get two bolts and use a wrench. M8x1.25 is correct both sides.

That's what I figured. Poop. I'll have to try retapping the hole. If not, a helicoil it will have to be. They must have damaged the threads removing the studs.

I don't have the studs. I'm going to use bolts. I believe the studs were there to hold the gasket in place.
