Hi guys, thanks for viewing. My situation now is that I have no oil coming out of cam squirter both int. and ex. Sides. Have you guys experience this???
Break down- sr20det blacktop head and red top block. No vvt, new machined head, new cometic head gasket, BUT after installation I then noticed that its a vvt head gasket. Everything fitted well and bolted up right. I drove it for a day then next day I noticed a squeaking and ticking noise coming from the upper head intake side, pulled off the valve cover, cranked it up and no oil coming out from squirters. Please give me you change of 2 cents.
Note I did the installation correctly, wiped everything down, brake cleaned parts and oiled up head before first start.

Did you replace the oil pump? Can you verify that you have oil pressure? Did you verify the cam retainer in the rear to make sure you got the right one there?

Thanks for the reply fliprayz, I didn't replace the oil pump, I have a used one from an extra motor in the back of my house, I already tookem off so I'd be ready. Is there any symptoms of a bad oil pump? Other than that I don't have an oil pressure gauge I will buy soon and reply with the psi reading. As for the cam retainers it is in the right sides.

Take the squirters off & make sure they are not clogged... also verify that they are not installed backwards.
I assume that you serviced the engine with fresh oil, so I won't say to check the oil lol.
Whatever you do, don't start it until you got this licked... great chance of jacking up the cam journals- if you haven't already.
GL!

Sup mikester, yeah I did have an oil change. As far as everything I did so far I did have a dented oil pan. Got that replaced and as for the oil pump pick up I swapped it out too. Cleaned it out and all. I've seen other guys on zilvia that that fixed their issue, but it didn't for me still same problem. My last guess can be the oil pump. Is there anything else you think I should do??

make sure your oil pump works remember its not the oil pump that creates oil pressure but all the little holes that it flows threw.

Check to make sure the oil sump on the bottom is good and the o-ring is there. Lastly make sure the oil pan isnt pushed up into the sump.
