I have looked on google and all I see Is how to take it out. So here is my problem I was putting a new belt on and I broke the top fitting on top I need help on what to do is it ok if I plug that line ? And no big deal or do I need to replace the whole thing it's like 50 bucks on eBay. Car drives fine so far I have always had gas vapor come out when I take gas cap off. But should I plug that top line or leave it open?
I don't want to blow up that's not any fun.

I mean if anyone could just point me in the right way as of what that top part dose and if its ok to plug it off or If I should leave it open would be great. As of now I just open the gas cap to let out the gas to be safe.

Remove the canister. Leave the lines there (not plugged), buy a replacement, plug lines back in.
I'd be more worried about avoiding tornadoes if I were you.

It's pretty sad about the school and kids. My town only got rain.
But yea I guess I'll take that plug out for now. But what dose that small top part go too?? Or do?
