Hi

it's being some changes to my build, I sold the Darton sleeved FWD block, and now I have to build the engine using the RWD Darton sleeved block.
So I got a few questions, I know VE on RWD blocks is done often, what I am curious about is the FWD primera SR20DE highport crankshaft, does it fit in a RWD s14 block, and what about the oilpump spacer I hear people talking about?

I'm about to buy a super rare HKS Protoype Sequential and it only fits the RWD block so thats why I am changing planes, aka selling the FWD block.

I'm very confused as the many forums around the world have different suggestions to similiar topics.

Thank you very much!

If you can look at a parts database. You should be able to cross reference the cranks to other models/years. I'm almost certain that the cranks are all the same throughout the years, but I could be wrong. If you have the RWD stuff, use it along with the crank collar spacer needed for the VE pump.

RWD and FWD Crankshaft are the same and so you can swap them. Only difference on the cranks are 8CW and 4CW or Full counter weighted or Half. Oil Crank Collar spacer are usually matched with the Oil pump/Front Cover you use.

Ok thank you guys! :)

Any picture of this spacer? and where can I get one?
Pictures would help as I am not very good at technical english.

Had to swith block as the rare HKS sequential only fits the rwd lol :)

My bad as well spacer is really just another term for oil crank drive.

Definitely go with the fully counter weighed crank, especially if you're aiming for high revs. Get the whole rotating assembly balanced as well.

Ok thanks, I got the full counter weight crank :)
Already spent more money into that crank, making it custom, then a new billett crank costs lol.

I have also been working a lot about the rod bearings, and have now got a set of custom rod bearings designed and made.
