Hey guys did some searching but did seem to find anyone with a similar scenario as me. So My car is a 95 S14 with a s1 rb25 in it. It's been at the body shop the last few weeks getting all the major rust fixed as the previous owner bondo'ed the shit out of it. Well yesterday the body guy went to pull my car in to finish the quarter panel work and as usual had to jump the battery. I plan on replacing it when it gets back home. Well it fired up but seemed to be missing really bady, he compared it to how a Subaru boxer motor sounds lol. Anyway he go it moved and shut it off. He went to start it again about an hour after and now it just cranks and won't start at all. Hey says he can smell it getting fuel but he's not sure if its getting spark.
When I first bought the car the dumb ass previous owner had the aftermarket temp gauge hooked up to the ecu temp sender instead of the one wire gauge sender which was causing me to have to crank it for two or 3 min when cold just to get it to fire. I fixed that issue by removing the gauge sender wire from the ecu temp sensor and it started great for about a week and ran decent before i dropped it off. Could the issues now have any correllation to the ecu temp sensor? I'm 3 hours away on an oil rig so I can't make it home to mess with the car but he's going to be pulling the plugs tonight to see if their soaked or if they are sparking at all. Any additional help as to what to look for would be great as I'm still pretty new with these rb motors. Thanks everyone.
