hi i recently just bought a 92 nissan 240sx and im only a teenager who is used to inline 6's i dont know much about these motors yet but my valves need tightening and need to know how to tighten them and how much torque it needs plzz help me on this

You need a special tool for that. You can find it next to the glass forming hammers at harbor freight.

the stock ka24de with headers straight pipe cold air intake and coilovers

Since you have coilovers you'll need to double the valve torque.

Nah, since he has a straight pipe and cold air intake he need to triple the torque value to achieve double the stock hp. Simple logic. Also it's a pain to do. You'll have to remove the flux capacitor just to get to the adjustment screw.

So if this is a serious post...what exactly makes you think that the "valves need tightening"?

Assuming the KA (which I've never had apart) is like an SR, the cam sits directly on the rocker arms which push directly on the vales. The only thing that gives is the lifters at the other end of the rocker arm...there really is no adjustment.

If you are hearing knocking it is probably something else. If its got rod knock and the seller told you the valves needed to be tightened you should take it back.
