how to prep head gasket?

What's up guys
Im getting ready to put my head back on my ka24de and need some advice from the guys that have done this before. There is still parts of the hg stuck on the block and I need to clean it off and get it smooth. What's the best way to do this without worrying about scratching the block enough to cause an uneven mating surface?

Cleaning it isnt the problem, its not getting shit into the oil galleys that suck.
