Ok so I finally popped my 240 cherry. Got me an 89 hatch auto. Already ripped the kae and auto out and have a 96 kade and 96 ecu I will run it with. I already have everything to make her a Manuel and have the clutch and master installed. I have me kade on my stand and I don't want to tear her down to bare block and FULLY build her yet. But I do want to have a nice pulling ka. I am replacing rod and main bearings, oil pump, w/p, front and rear main just cause itd be stupid not to since I have her out and on a stand. The T-chain is brand new. What I'm wanting to know from you guys is what cam set up should I choose? Should I send my cams out and do a regrind? Should I buy the BC street cams for $500 (too much $ I think) I will do a full exhaust, headers back at 2 1/2 pro ably. A CAI, all four UDPs, a high flow fuel rail and FPR. I'd like an aftermarket IM but really don't know which one to buy. And then of course is like to tune her. Now can I tune a 96 ecu? Or is the only option piggyback? Ok I wrote enough. Please tell me what you guys think. HOW DO I GET THE MOST POWER OUTYA MY KADE? thanks

The easiest way to make power with a KA is Turbo.
Head over to KAT.org and do some research on whats needed to turbo your KA.

Just go turbo. It will net more power for less money in most cases.

If you reallu dont want to go the turbo route, then do the basics:
Intake, header, exhaust, cams, light weight pulleys, & electric fans

NA KA's make no mention able power for the money you put into them. Just slap a t-25 on it at 7psi and a JWT tuned ecu and you will have a fun car that will be dead reliable to daily.
Also this should help.

I have a boosted mirage that I did my self. I'm no stranger to boost or working on cars. But I'm too eager to get this motor in and start having fun. I will eventually end up boosting her, but Untill then I just want something fun to play around with. I'm not looking to net super high HP. JUST A REAL PEPPY FUN 240. And since i am new to the KAs i was hoping for some cool tricks to add some kinda power. This 240 will not be my daily do all the emissions stuff can go. And what about tuning? Is piggy back the only option? Most the stuff I'm going to do now will still be able to work when I boost. Really only the headers and CAI will be the only things that would have to go. Bit any other info is greatly apreacated.

Now you're asking to be spoon fed. There is a wealth of information on this with a simple google search.

If you plan on boosting down the road I wouldn't spend any money on a CAI or headers because it will net MAYBE 5hp at the wheels if that. NA KA's just don't make any power without insane amounts of money. If you just want a nice fun car to mess around in a stock KA will do that very very well. Also I personally would not go with a piggy back for doing a basic KA-T just stick with a ROM tune such as JWT or enthalpy.
