Hello everyone :) I had recently acquired a KA24DET project that seems to be all ready to go, but something is keeping it from turning over.:bash:

Here is a list of areas I had already troubleshooted:
-new battery
-new o-rings on injectors, made sure they're properly sealed (pervious owner had wrong size o-rings on the Delphi injectors)
-new plugs, old ones were black
-did a visual check on ignition wires
-checked ignition timing
-checked cam timing(removed valve cover)
-checked for spark via pulling out and grounding the plugs one at a time
-inspected distributor (pulled it out) pointed at #1 cylinder at TDC (not flipped 180)
-tested the injector wires with a diode
-car has a new fuel pump, I can hear it activate when I turn the key
-there is fuel
-car came with 2 ECU's so I swapped them out, still no luck
I am thinking its the wiring, but I am not sure if there is something else I am missing before diagnosing it as that.
Help would be much appreciated :(

By turn over, you mean it's not actually turning over right? Like cranking? Does it click or make noise?

Is your car a manual? Was it an auto?

Check and make sure starter signal wire has not come loose its a little spade connector on side of starter

I installed new distributor wires cause old ones had electrical tape on them. Still no luck but at least it rules out the wires.

Check the clutch pedal starter button (don't really know what else to call it.) if the rubber gromet that depresses it broke/slash fell off, it won't start.

So is it getting spark? If you have fuel, air, and spark it should start...what injectors? Tuned ecu? So many variables left un said
Edit: didn't see the starter wasn't turning, yeah check ignition switch, relay, fuse etc if not that jump the starter to see if its even good

None of the stuff u replaced would effect it cranking at all. Except the battery. Here's what u do. Stop buying a bunch of shit u don't need and wasting ur money. Go down to your local auto parts store and buy/make a remote starter button. Hook one side to the main (big) wire on your starter and the other to your solenoid (small) wire on your starter. Turn key to run. Push button. If car cranks over but doesn't start ( which it shouldn't) then u have a few possibilities to choose from. If it does start it's either your ignition switch or that clutch button I was talking about, or the wiring, fuses, etc somewhere in between. My money's on that stupid clutch pedal button. If its missing u can buy one from Nissan +-5$, tape a quarter to it or, what I did, replace with a nut and bolt. Bottom line, STOP THROWING PARTS AT IT. I'm really not trying to sound like a dick and I really hope this helps u out.

I have NOT bought anything I wouldn't want to replace ANYWAY. The battery was not keeping a charge, distributor wires were damaged, I had the plugs laying around.
Funny you mention the clutch pedal button though, because I have had that issue on one of my prior 240s.

I'm confused man. First u say turning over and not starting. Then u say not turning over at all a few posts later... So is the motor actually turning any revolutions whatsoever? Or is it not moving at all. I'm tryna help ya

It is turning, I never said it wasn't. Injectors are delphi 72lbs(788cc as I recall), I have two tuned ECU's from previous owner one is Enthalpy which has a tune for a similar setup to mine, and another one, also with a tune. It also has a wideband.

It is turning but won't fire up. Does that make sense? Your help is appreciated.

Yes it does. Cranking and turning over, to me at least, mean the same thing. That's where the confusion was lol. I would do a compression check. It may sound like a shot in the dark but on the off chance all valves are sucked/bent, or a really bad blown head gasket (all cylinders) which is highly unlikely from what you've listed, tested this is the only option for what's wrong IMO. Like the other guy said, if u have fuel air and spark, all on time (like u said), than that's pretty much all I can think of would keep it from firing. Ur not getting anything tho? Like popping, or even trying to start? Or just complete empty revolutions. Definitely a peculiar problem man good luck

u said u check for sparked , maybe i missed it but are you actually getting spark or not? if you are not check for connectivity on the ground cable green/black between the igniter and coil,
