I searched for an answer and I could not find it, so please don't flame me for a noob question.

I installed a boost gauge on my car this weekend and I'm getting a pretty high boost reading, and I'm wondering if I hooked up the gauge correctly?

Ok on 1st gear I'm getting 6-7 psi
2nd gear I'm getting 12-13 psi
3rd gear I'm getting 16-18 psi

I have walbro fuel pump, 3in full exhaust, and front mount intercoler.

I DID NOT tee off the FPR!
The top right(fat nipple) going to the BOV, I teed off that.
That's the vaccum going to the boost gauge.
And I used the bottom nipple on the throttle body to go straight to the WG.
Is that ok? I have read a few threads and some people run it this way.
Do I have a bad WG? I have about 100k on the motor.

Please give me some wise answers on this, it will be very helpful. Lol

What waste gate are you running?

The nipple on the bottom of the throttle body isn't vacuum; it goes to the charcoal canister stock.

Sounds like ya waste gate don't have a proper Vaccum..

Stock WG that comes with the t25, I'm starting to believe that it is a bad WG.
I now, have the WG to a boost source I tapped to the hotpipe. Still, it's doing the same thing all throughout the gears.
WG??? Any one agree with me?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. So I then tapped a quick tap fitting on the hot-pipe, ran the WG straight to that, and still it's doing the same thing! Over boost in 2nd gear(12psi), and (16psi) in 3rd.

Unplug your wastegate actuator, and plug the vac line going to it, drive around with the wastegate unplugged, does it still boost over 7psi?

if so your wg flapper is stuck. and the WGA is probably bad.

Just went for a test drive with the WG unplugged. Yes, it still goes over 7psi.

Thanks for the help

I'm going to buy a new hks adjustable WG.

Wastegates shouldn't even have a Vacuum reference, they should have a boost only reference.

Installed a new HKS wastegate!
The car is boosting 11psi perfectly! Problem solved.
