Hey guys. Mods: 3 Inch full exhaust, AEM intake, new sparks, hg with arps, about 100k on motor i was told. So I was in the field for the week (active usmc) and when I came back I went for a drive. At 3k old girl would hesitate and send plumes of white bluish smoke (oil) behind me covering the whole damn road and filling the cockpit. It stopped for a while and now does it occasionally. Ill be just cruising like 2 - 2.5k rpm and all of a sudden it chokes and once again huge plumes of smoke. I have 3 codes 34 knock sensor (bad wiring), 66 Misfire cyl 3, and another one idr 7x misfire on cyl 3. Now I realise I was running rich from the ks which could have washed out my rings. Also I did the headgasket like 4 months ago, got the head Detergent dipped without getting new valve seals (stupid). Do you guys think its my seals or rings or both? Im about to SR redtop swap in a week but i would like to fix this motor and sell it. Thanks.

Just buy compression tester for 20 bucks at autozone and do a quick compression test. then you'll have the peace of mind on flipping the motor to someone else when you do the SR swap...

Sounds like some other electrical issue could be causing this though. Having the codes sounds like sensors/bad or faulty connections. Good luck!
