So I just picked up another 240 with an RB20det. This is my first time owning an RB motor so I don't have a lot of experience with it. Basically it only has on issue that I've noticed. When it is really cold it doesn't start up on the first try, it takes a few attempts. I know the guy who owned before me and he replaced the tps and the iacv and the maf. And it didn't fix the problem. What else could it be? Also he bought used parts to fix the problems and so this could be an issue as well.

I know he was having issues with the charging system but a new belt and my optima solved that problem. I'm puzzled because it has fuel and spark and compression, why wouldn't it just fire up?

Oh well any help narrowing it down would be appreciated cus I'm trying to avoid going through and just replacing sensors and what not

Ok so why dont SR's and KA's which are the same age have this problem? It isn't an old engine thing because I know guys with 30 year old big blocks or slant sixes in their trucks that fire right up so there is a reason why it is happening and thusly a way to fix it

That part number didn't cross to anything, any others?

Also I've done research and it can't be a wiring problem cus it has brand new upper, lower, and coil pack harnesses made by one of those wiring companies

How about you try cleaning the IACV first...
