Hey guys have a quick question for you all im doing an sr20 swap in s13,

s13 sr 1750$

s14 sr 2250$

I used to own an s14 silvia so i have a good idea of what the power potential is stock vs stock. I have never ridden in a stock-ish s13 sr. Factoring in the price and age of the mototrs and fact that im going to be running them both with a fmic full exhaust and ebc, should i save the money with a redtop for extra goodies or spend the extra on the notchtop? would love your opinions guys and dont roast me I know all i need to know on sr20's, im looking for those of you who have had PRACTICAL experience drifting with these setups ive stated, not your fucking average joe blow who forum trolls day and night wishing he didnt drive a sunfire. thanks

I have a s14 notch top in my s13, but i like the looks of the s14 over for the s13 motors plus it comes with a t28 and comes with VTC.

I have no idea if the VTC actaully DOES anything though, lol.

hahah fair enough ^^^^ I did it once in my s14, simply unplug the vtc solenoid connection and drive around the block, there is a difference, but only in the sense of dailying the car.

thanks for the input, anyone else?

I would go with the redtop and get some other goodies. The extra cash could even be used to replace parts that may be bad like water pump or something. Or saved for hidden expenses. Ive only ridden in 2 SR'd cars both redtops and for stock is enough to get some decent drifts down. Hell alot of people still drift with stock KA's.

My advice probably isnt worth anything since I dont own an SR. I kept my KA and turbo'd that.

naw man thats cool its just a decision I have to make I guess, neither one is bad just different, but yeah i agree with motor swaps you never know whats gonna be suspect , I drifted on an s14 sr for a year, then switched to a jzx 1jz chassis, so im coming from something similar to your ka24 setup to an sr again, and I have no idea how to make the best of it, thanks for your input though greatly appreciated !
