P0705 1996 nissan 240sx Heeellllpppp

Hey guys I need some help ASAP. My Ecu is throwing trouble code p0705 and its a manual... From my understanding its for automatic and idk why it's saying I have a transmission range sensor(pndl input) I think that's it. I have no check engine light for it and I'm trying to smog my car but idk why the trouble code is there. In going nuts any info would be awesome thank you.

Probably a conversion and they left the old auto ecu.

I don't think so because there's no trace of a swap really. Not that I can see at least. Is that code always going to be there because iv never had it for a year until now
