knock sensor and mafs for ka

i have a knock sensor and mafs code on my s14. this seems to be pretty common for 240s. anyone else have or had this problem? if so how much did it cost to fix?

as far as the knock sensor , i have a 97 pretty much stock , after changing my knock sensor 2 times i went to radio shack and bought a resistor ( needs 500,000-620,000 ohms ) , cut the wires going to the ecm , soldered a 560,000 ohm resistor across the 2 wires going to the ecm , taped the 2 wires coming from the knock sensor and then taped up the wires and resistor so it looks normal. reset ecm , works great .

knock sensors don't cost that much but are a pain to change. as far as the maf sensor you may find one on a part out sale under items for sale. also i spray my maf sensor with brake cleaner , removes oil and dirt , drys clean.
