Why would you want a VG30?

If they can make the R35 powerplant fit, yes this will fit. But it is a complete waste of money for the other swaps you could have

The engine isnt bad at all, its the space it takes up that is the problem

Its not bad but by no means is it one of Nissan's better engines. Its to big and really is not all that powerful by comparison to some of the other common swaps out there.
If you want a VG30 go get a Z Chassis and save yourself the swap time.

Considering what other engines you can throw in, i really feel it is a waste of time and money.
Quite a lot of things can fit in an S13, provided you know your way with a welder. I have heard of a V10 viper powered S13, a V12 bmw powered S13, so if these thing fits, i cant see a VG30 not fitting.
so to answer the OP, doable yes, worth it no. Unless you absolutely want that engine in an s13. Depends on what you consider "worth it".
RB/ 2JZ tend to make very good, powerful swaps, but really make these cars nose heavy, to the point the car cant be driven the same way as it was with a 4pots. You can get a better weight distribution, but then you need to redo the firewall approx 1foot rearward in the cabin and push the engine back the same amount, which is a lot of hard work. It does not leave a lot of room for legs and commands either, and makes maintenance a bitch (try reaching the 5 / 6th cylinders spark plug for example) But this way, you can achieve a 52/48 weight ratio.
considering weight distribution, V8s are better as the weight is more centered in the car. You can achieve 50/50 without modifying the firewall.

vq35de. dont waste time vg30. 300 hp is plenty of instant fun if your ready for a v6 swap. newer motor, better engineering, better support, easy to get parts.

:picardfp: If you searched vg30dett 240sx on youtube you would have found several videos of this swap. If you searched google you would have found several results with information on the swap.
Horrible motor, waste of time.
:picardfp: The VG is not a horrible engine, don't be an ignorant anus. A stock VG can make big hp and tq numbers. It's a more difficult swap, thus it is the route less traveled. I have high amounts of respect for anyone with the a vg swapped 240.
