So I'm going to be putting a crank from one KA-DE into another KA-DE block. Is there anything I should know about bearing sizes?

The crank I assume is stock and hasn't been ground or polished. Can I just get a set of standard sized bearings, plastigauge to check, and be good to go?

Same with the rod bearings?

Btw, what should the clearance be on the main and rod bearings?

I would plasti-gauge before you purchase bearings...

have the replacement crank polished. the machine shop will measure it before and after polishing and they will tell you what bearing size you need. this way you are sure about the bearings and you get a polished crankshaft. if the bearing clearance is on the big side,(more clearance between the journal and the bearing), use a thicker weight oil. if its the other way around, use factory recommended weight oil. in my opinion, if the engine is more than 100k miles, i use 20w50 oil. why are you replacing the crank?
