Tried searching, couldn't find any threads. i know there ARE threads on the subject...I just couldnt find them.
Who here has these cast aluminum Greddy replica intake manifolds?

There are a few others made by different guys, these ones are decently priced (considering its not a mechanical part, I dont mind the replica). 1/4-1/5th the price of the authentic Greddy. Considering I dont have an intake manifold at all right now, and if I were to get a used OEM one I'd spend $100-200 anyways, may as well look at this for around 3.
Input please guys! Thanks in advance.

As an ex-1990 GT-R owner, I am inclined to advise you to buy a stock manifold & have it polished/powder coated; or spend the extra $$$ on the GReddy. FYI, the stock RB26DETT intake mani is perfectly fine for a 600+hp air demand. If you look at pics of high-hp R's, you will see that many of them are running stock intake manis- they were built with modding them up pre-engineered into the design. Just food for thought.
IMO, a GT-R is way too nice to be desecrated with knockoff parts... period.

My buddy got one, there not that bad. He had to Dremel out one of the intake ports, one of the mounting holes was off a bit, and he had it milled since it didn't seat properly.
It's a knock off so you get what you pay for. It is alot cleaner than a OEM manifold tho. It's a lower quality than the greddy one, I've held my old SR greddy manifold next to a Isis one and the craftsmanship is worlds away from one another.

Trust me I'm well aware of knock-off parts and how they "shouldn't be used" on a car such as a GT-R. I've had the car for years, I'm in university now and don't have the funds to do it super well right now. I'll go back and redo it down the road, but I figure since the motors out of the car I'd rather not put on OEM parts I'm gonna replace down the road. I know the OEM manifold isn't the best for air flow to cyl #6. I guess I'll find an OEM and just port match it until I'm running more power.
and to those who say "if you don't do it right don't do it at all", meh. For buying a GTR at 18 years old, in university with no debt, and not a single knock-off/replica part on the car thus far, I feel i've done well.

^^LOL Plenty of 18yr olds with GT-R's... In Japan, Skyrines are the equivalent of Mustangs=) Which also means that there are plenty of "bozo'd" GT-R's running around ;)
Nobody really cares what you do... My opinion is just an opinion. As long as you are having fun, that's all that matters.

Thats it dude. I only mention that because the majority of GT-R owners in my neck of the woods are 25+. My car was one of the Bozo'd ones, then rebuilt here, then parted out. Classic. Shell is clean and straight, no rust, no bondo, nothing. I can't complain.
