I have a 90 infoniti m30, w/ rb20
I recently replaced the engine due to a rod that shot out of the block..
It was fine before, electrical wise at least. Now that ive put everything back in and together it cranks all day long but has no spark. The only thing that i can tell is different is that there is a wire coming from the firewall that is not connected to anything.. But i cannot find where it may go to, it is a hand run wire that leads back to ecu pin#38 which is the Throttle Opening output and is a hot wire. The schematic says that is goes to the middle(#2) pin on the throttle sensor. Tested it and nothing
But even if that were the case to MY knowledge would not keep it from starting just run like shit.
Also my radio does not work anymore, it was brought up by a shop tech that it may be the factory security system that could have been tripped which will in turn keep the car from starting or sending a signal to the ignitor.
Has this happened to anybody or does it even sound like it could be the reason for the no spark?
Keep in mind i did not do anything woth wiring or electronics while the engine was out of the car, and the car was running fine before the rod at least but had everything that it needed electrically to run.
