When I shift from a gear my car makes a noise similar to two steal plates being grinded/sliding together. it starts right after I begin to accelerate then it fades away away my rpms pass around 2500. anyone have an idea?
I have a stock ka s14. I've looked everywhere and no answers.
any helps appreciated, thanks.

Try recording the sound. Is this in a manual? Does it happen while your letting out the clutch. Or after clutch has been fully released

strange noise after accelerating from a shift, manual - YouTube (http://youtu.be/pzw42VxJDcg)
it's a manual 5speed, it sounds more clear towards the end, but thats basically the noise it makes. and it's starts when I'm releasing the clutch and it sounds after its fully released as well.
