Hey guys don't know too much about the rb series of motors but I'm looking at buying a new 240. It's an awesome deal but there's an issue: it's running extremely rich right now and I'm not sure how much work this would be to fix and I can't have a car that's gonna e sitting for awhile (again. This is what the owner told me:
The car ran fine when he bought it (440cc gtr injectors) but then he attempted to upgrade the fuel rail. This is where the problem occurs. "I tried to change the fuel rail and I bought the wrong one so when I put it back on the regulator I had stopped working so I put one that I previously had on it and it needed to be adjusted. The one that's on it didn't have a gauge so I never got around to putting this new one on so it could be adjust more easily the new one I have has a gauge omit and all"

He has offered to throw in replacement spark plugs and an adjustable fpr with the car and said it has no problem starting and would allow me to test drive it around the parking lot in first gear (of it revs too high it floods and cuts out)

Just tryin to see what id be working with...thanks for the help

Be careful man. Doesn't sound safe if you don't know how to work on cars .. Me? If its cheap enough Ill buy anything and fix it up if I know what's involved. But don't make the mistake of thinking Rb is gonna be easy or cheap. If the swap was done shitty or harness janky. You will have many ghosts and probably will end up redoing everything.

Tldr: save money buy running car

I've done an sr swap myself I'm just asking if it seems like a logical reason for the flooding. It seems like a good deal, full suspension, rb, no rust, etc. I'm just confused as to why putting on a "wrong" fuel rail would cause this
