ok guys so i have a 1997 ka auto 240sx. Mostly stock except for a header / and a walbro 255 fuel pump. it just started doing this recently but everytime im on the highway or somewhat long drives it keeps blowing the 7.5 EGI FUSE!! Then car loses power and cranks but wont turn over till i put in a new fuse and starts right back up. Few days go by and same problem it blows it . Ive tried putting a 10 and 20 fuse but that wont even make it turn over it just blws it. Till i put back in the 7.5 . Idk what can be causing this issue, but its getting really annoing pulling over the highway every couple of days to put a new fuse. My driverside harness is tucked since my car has big wheels, but doesnt seem to be chewing it up or anything. Hopefully you guys can me some ideas. Thanks in advanced!

i will i. some loose wire is probably is just grounding out and causing it to blow. i just hate having to pull over often

Do not and I say DO NOT put higher ampage fuses on circuits its not designed for. Blowing fuses will be the least of your worries when that wire catches on fire or melts.
What you need to do is bust out the FSM and look at the wiring schematic for the EGI. Something on it is grounding and you'd need to chase it.

bigger fuel pump = bigger amperage fuse. i put a walbro in my s14 and kept blowing the 7.5. after blowing like ten of those and a 10, everything was perfectly fine after i put in a 15 and havent had any issues since then

So car just keeps blowing the egi fuse it was fine for about a week but now it just doest it way too often. Can seem to find and wire that's grounding to.anything. I'm clueless at the moment. The cars pretty much.stock. could it be the ecu or the fuel pump maybe going out?
