redtop sr20det randomly losing power and cutting out and backfiring , please helpp ?

no vacume leaks and its not the maff


it will drive and run perfect 90 percent of the time but randomly on the freeway when just cruisen at 70mph for 10-15 miles will cutt out and when i try to down shift and start it back up or rev up i get nothing but a loud back fire happend a few times and had to come to a stop couple times but sometimes will cut back onn

does any one have any idea where to start looking or what it might be ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????

im having sort of the same issue, some days itll run perfect and some other days itll cut out and die and shit..makes no sense!

its some bs runs perfect 95 percennt of the time but rarely and randomly will just losee all power and somewimes will kick back on or some times have to stop then re start it if u find out ur problem lmk please

Could be a few different things:

Check TPS voltage
Clean MAF
Change plugs
Check Coilpacks
Clean IACV
O2 Sensor-if you have it tuned with it plugged in :/
Fuel Pump
Vac Leak

Also does heat have any factor? is it generally hotter when it cuts out?

Check your compression across all cylinders.

thanks hardie my temp use to sit solid at 2 and half lines and now sits at a solid 3 lines and its not tuned with a o2 sensor

Ok, check all the other things i mentioned, if this doesnt fix your problem get the engine compression tested.

Check fuel pressure. Are you venting the tank or is it blocked? Are you using a Z32 fuel filter? When was it the last time it was changed?

300ZX filter are usually the way to go, they are generally less restrictive.
