So as most of you know I picked up a s1 rb25det swapped s13 hatch a couple months ago. Runs and drives great ect.
My issue.....
One of my issues is my dip stick leaking oil from the base... it was indeed sealed I pulled my heart out trying to remove it only to find out there is no type of o ring to replace. Oh high boost my dip stick likes to pop out and send oil all.over my windshield and engine bay as well. What kind of sealant can I use to re seal the dipstick housing at the base? I know the dip stick piping out is caused by blow by due to pressure build up in the crank case or from bad rings.
So I did compression check... motor was more then running temp (I drove it a few hours)
Results: 155,145,150,145,150,150 (cyl1-6)
Stock rb25det compression is suppose to be 165 across the bored. Im guessing mine isn't all that bad.
I also have a good amount oil in my charge pipe and fmic... I thought it was due to my turbo being blown but it has zero shaft play and is an newly upgraded t28 which spools and holds boost with ease. I produce no smoke on WOT on high boost and if I do it a thick cloud of black smoke from being so rich.
Is there away to diagnose the problem without ripping the whole car apart? Any digestions on how to fix the crank case pressure (maybe oil catch can?) Could a bad pcv cause the dip stick to shoot out and spray oil every where?
Thanks for any answer.. im trying to fix this rb since the last owner didn't take care of it at all.
