rb20det s13 issue "timing?"

ok well i have an rb20det swap and its been awhile for me working on it 2 years on the 5th actually and have an issue to keep it running.

it starts up and runs for like a min and dies. i jsut replaced the cas and its doing the same thing then it had a vacuum leak from the bov. i replaced that

it sounds like timing is off. i can hear it slightly but more so the guys i work with at my shop. i took front cover off and cams are lined up fine. i will next week be taking the crank pulley off and checkin that.

if its timed fine which i think it is..what could be the problem??? im in dier need of help and want her to run finally.


also just to fill you all in on what has happened to her.
-first friend rebuilt the motor (just gaskets and new timing belt) he said it was timed
-second a shop local to me (one motion) had it and did my ic piping and p/s lines and wiring then we tried starting it and it wouldnt budge so they checked the timing/fixed it... then they tried starting it and it couldnt hold compression and wouldnt pass a leak down test but i brought it to my shop and did the test with 2 seperate gauges and guess what it holds compression 160-170 in all 6 cylinders.

then it just leads back to the top of the page. im stuck and confused.
