single cam smog test.

i am about to purchase an 89 240sx that has nevada plates, and i reside in california.. will it pass smog in california as well? im not sure because i dont know if nissan made them 49 state legal as well as 50 state legal or just 50 state legal.. let me know if anyone knows.. thanks

Nevada smog test is much easier to pass than California inspection. Cheaper too. Things to check would be the catalytic converter, I believe if it's welded or a non ca emissions one it automatically fails? Not 100% sure though. Egr and all emissions equipment must also be in place. Pretty much the other way around is known for a fact, if it passes ca inspection it will pass Nevada smog no problem.
