turbo noise?

are you supposed to able to hear the turbo spinning when the car shuts off or is it supposed to be perfectly smooth and quiet?

i just replaced my old turbo because the fins were chewed up and it was making noise when i shut of the car as it spins to a stop. the new one makes the same sound as it spins to a stop.

is this ok or normal?

You would need to provide a sound clip, a normal bb turbo spin down is definably different than a bb turbo spinning down while rubbing the housing. How are we to know if what you hear is normal or not?

ok first of all i wasnt sure if i was supposed to hearing anything at all thats why i asked, once i get it back together again ill get a sound clip

Well then it a good thing you posted, isn't it?;) The ability to hear the turbo and how well, depends on the Type of intake, filter, design and etc. A restrictive filter and a plastic pipe with rubber couplers will surely diminish your ability to hear the turbo spin down vs an aluminum intake with sponge type mushroom filter.
