hey guys, i was driving today and noticed that my throttle is getting stuck at about 2% whenever i rev...however i can get it back down by pushing on the back of the pedal with my foot...i bent the sr throttle bracket to fit the ka cable when i did the swap...

just wondering how i could go about fixing this, as i dislike "idling" at 2k...should i buy a ka throttle cable bracket and fit it on the sr?

Ever get this answered? Curious because I am just beginning this issue and am looking for a fix - I too dislike 2K idles

I had what I thought was a cable issue that turned into a tb CLEANING issue + a vac leak... easy things to try before fcking with the cable :)

Pretty sure that being able to lower the idle by pulling the pedal up from behind rules out a vacuum leak- at least in this instance.

A DOHC throttle cable will give you the length you need to fix this. SOHC cable is a hair too short.

Also check the stopper on the TB to make sure it's adjusted properly as well as the cable bracket jamb nuts.

Check your throttle plate screws too...
