Ok so here's my problem on my 89 coupe I swap a 97 ka that I had on on my hatch, the ka was running nice and strong but then I swapped it over to my coupe I just bought, for about one month of drive suddenly it overheated so I let it cool down to check it and found a lot of coolant on the floor so I checked my rad and it was perfect then I turn it on and saw i had a busted freeze plug on the exhaust manni side so I replaced it but it still overheats and now I have a nasty bogging / splatter problem so I gave up and took it to a shop and they told me I had a busted head gasket and water got in the motor! My oil looks like a moca cappuccino now it still starts and runs I've had the car parked for over a 2weeks and I turn it on for like 2mins every 3day (why I don't kno)

My question is if I flush the motor down a couple time and just replace the head gasket then flush it again would that save me from having to rebuild the head / motor?

Any help would be appreciated!

Well to replace the headgasket, which you need to do, you need to rebuild the motor. Not sure what you're asking.

Or swap in another KA.

If ur planning on keeping the car for a long time and modying it, I would rebuild engine, no better feeling that knowing u have a fresh motor without the chance of blowing it :2f2f:

Basic rebuild would be advisable. Head could be warp from overheating so decking would be recommended. If you need help with the rebuild LMK. But if you it need right away and funds is an issue then sourcing a good known running replacement KA will be best. GL!

I lost a headgasket last Fall and tossed in another KA. Best bang for your buck if you can find a clean used engine for a decent price.
