Bought some second hand Tomei procam 260/12 cams.
How do I find out if they are solid or lash type? I'm fitting them with type a springs but don't have solid lifters.
Trawled the net to no avail.

With 260s, you should still get away with HLA. Hell, I knew people running HLAs on 280 procams.

This may sound ridiculous ....
Have you asked the PO that bought the cams and used them.... He MAY be able to answer that question.

Was from eBay. They have no idea.
I was hoping someone here may of taken picture of theirs before fitting from new.
If I can find examples of both it may give me better idea.

I forgot off the top of my head if Tomei offers 2 different lifts, for the same duration i think there is a 10mm & a 12mm. I beleive with the 12 Tomei recomend soilid lash style.

yo i found my tomei dealer list info here it is
260- 7.70/7.88max cam lift mm, 12mm max valve lift, cam clearance 0.15 cold(soild lifter)
The 7.88 requires solid lifters....... You need the cam card to know wich one you have,or measure the lobe height & see how close it is to either 7.70 or 7.88.
They are not that drastically different in cam lift ,so i supose you could run stock lifters, but there is no telling how long they will last under extreme conditions, you may get lucky or maybe not????
your call..
