Alright so I'm about to pickup this HICAS VLSD for my S13 and I've done a bit of research but I haven't found a real solid answer yet.
I understand that the VLSD is .75" longer than the stock diff.
When I install the diff, the driveshaft will have to go further into the trans, thus making the carrier bearing shift forward as well. Will the carrier bearing still be mountable?
Or do I have to get the shorter S13 ABS driveshaft also?
Has anyone come across this same issue before?

think about why the diff is longer. It has an abs sensor in it. Hence, if you get an abs driveshaft rear section, it answer your question. I might be completely wrong tho, ha. Look up the vlsd swap

Thanks e5s4y
I did come across this already - KA24DEvelopment.com :: VLSD Swap Information (http://www.ka24development.com/vlsd.html)
hence how i knew about the ABS driveshaft.
but can I still use the stock non abs driveshaft and still be able to mount the carrier bearing?

Next question: did you research driveshaft lengths?
Iirc, the front section is almost the same length regardless of abs or not. Might be wrong about that too tho. I skipped any hassle and just got a one piece made, ha

You don't need a different driveshaft. Use what you have. I just did it last week.

if i were you id spend the cash on a one piece drive shaft, dont have to worry about it and its direct torque to the diff you just put in no slack in the carrier bearing

or you can crack it open and do internal swap. i had the problem before and i took the vlsd internal and i swapped it into the non abs "pumpkin" (open diff housing)
i heard you can do it fine but may blow out rear main seals all day
