Neglected engine "pics inside"

Just thought I would share a couple engine pics from an s13 I bought. I already knew about the engine issues including rod knock, leaky water pump and shitloads of oil everywhere. Good thing I had a spare engine to rebuild.



Busted up pistons and rings. Pretty sure oil was never changed.

Notice the hoseclamps holding down the shaft assembly. Whoever worked on this car should have their hands cut off.

Still not sure why this was done when replacement bolts are easily found.

wow...hoseclamps?! thats nuts

edit-double nut on studs, precaution so nut #1 wont back off haha
studs insteads of bolts?im sure there right next to each other in the bolt bin at home depot... along with hose clamps haha
